How to recognize Slovene

- Slovenia
Easy to confuse with
- Croatian — Slovene sticks to plain č, š, ž. The extra letters ć and đ mean Croatian (or Bosnian/Serbian Latin). Word tell: school is šola in Slovene, škola in Croatian.
