How to recognize Georgian

- Round, vine-like letters of uniform height — no capital letters at all (ა, ე, ლ, ვ).

Where you'll see it on signs
- Georgia
Easy to confuse with
- Amharic (Ethiopic) — Georgian is uniform-height round vines (ა, ე, ლ); Amharic symbols look like little chairs and people with legs.
- Armenian — Both look round — Georgian has no capitals and flows like vines; Armenian has straighter stems, tails, and capital letters.
- Greek — Greek has familiar math-class letters (α, λ, π) and capitals; Georgian is all one height with curling vines.
