Azerbaijani vs Turkish

Azerbaijani and Turkish sit in the same corner of the writing-system map — Grafle's Latin group — and players mix them up constantly. Here's the fastest way to tell them apart.

The tell

The schwa ə is Azerbaijani's signature — Turkish never uses it. Azerbaijani also writes q and x, which Turkish's alphabet lacks.
