Easy to confuse with
- Turkish — Turkmen uses ý, ň and w (boýunça, deň); Turkish uses dotless ı and ğ instead.
- Uzbek — Uzbek: apostrophes (o', g'). Turkmen: ý, ň, ä diacritics. Both Central Asian Turkic.
